News Release

Linden, Ind. — The board of directors of Tipmont REMC, a Linden-headquartered electric cooperative serving a multi-county Indiana region, has named Ron Holcomb its chief executive officer. He begins his service on July 15, 2013.

Holcomb is moving to the area from Franklin, Tenn., bringing nearly 30

years' experience in the public power and communications industries in

several states. He's previously directed business development for an

automated metering system vendor and led two publicly owned systems. “I have been fortunate to have experienced and seen the business from many different perspectives,” Holcomb said.

A graduate of Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, Holcomb also earned a master's in business administration from Murray State University in Kentucky.

As Tipmont's CEO, he plans to become involved in community and economic development throughout the region the utility serves.

Founded in 1939 and headquartered in Linden, Tipmont REMC is a member-owned cooperative providing electric service to some 21,800 members, primarily in Tippecanoe, Fountain and Montgomery counties as well as portions of Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clinton and White counties.

Tipmont is a Touchstone Energy Cooperative, a national alliance of local, consumer-owned electric cooperatives providing high standards of service and dedicated to serving members with integrity, accountability, innovation and commitment to community.
