The Kosciusko Economic Development Corp. has named Alan Tio chief executive officer. Tio, who was president of the Whitley County Economic Development Corp. until 2015 when he became senior vice president of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, will succeed the retiring George Robertson.

Tio currently serves in an economic development role with Fort Wayne-based design-build firm Michael Kinder & Sons Inc.

KEDCo Board Chair Jim Tinkey says "we are thrilled to welcome Alan to our community and look forward to his leadership moving our efforts forward. Alan’s track record speaks to his focus on understanding the needs of communities and companies."

Tio will begin as CEO next month.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing vitality of this community and humbled to be succeeding a nationally-recognized economic developer like George Robertson," said Tio. "By connecting the ideas, talent, and capital already found in this community, great things are indeed wanting to be done in Kosciusko County."
