An event billed as North America's largest annual gathering for the steel industry is underway in Indianapolis. Visit Indy expects the four-day Iron and Steel Technology Conference and Exposition to draw 5,000 attendees. May 5, 2014

PITTSBURGH, Penn. – AISTech 2014, North America's largest annual steel conference and exposition, opens on Monday, 5 May at the Indiana Convention Center, Indianapolis, Ind., USA.

There will be two major media events during the four-day program:

Mark D. Millett, president and chief executive officer, Steel Dynamics Inc., will deliver the keynote address, “Making Money in the Steel Industry Is Not a Mystery,” at the annual President's Award Breakfast at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, 6 May. Millett and other steel executive award winners will host a question-and-answer session for the media immediately following the President's Award Breakfast.

The AISTech Town Hall Forum will take place on Wednesday, 7 May at 8:30 a.m., during which a panel of the industry's top executives from Nucor Steel-Texas, Deutsche Bank Securities, United States Steel Corporation, Steel Authority of India Ltd., CMC Americas, ArcelorMittal USA and Cliffs Natural Resources will debate global steel industry issues, concerns and opportunities.
