News Release

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Terre Haute International Airport Authority Board of Directors proudly announces the appointment of Jeffrey Hauser as the new Executive Director of the Airport. This announcement comes after a search to find an organizational leader who can lead the Airport and continue its positive momentum moving forward.

In his new role, Jeffrey Hauser will be the senior level manager of the airport responsible for management, motivation and leadership of Airport staff, airport operations, ongoing development and implementation of strategic planning initiatives, and communication with all stakeholders.

“The Airport Authority set a high standard for its next leader. Hauser’s level of leadership, experience, knowledge, and engagement in the community made him the ideal candidate to lead the Airport to its next stages of development.” stated Board President Darryl Huyett.

Jeffrey Hauser is a leader in our community and holds a distinguished and extensive career in the National Guard. He is currently the Assistant Adjutant General in the Indiana Air National Guard where he is the advisor to the Adjutant General on all matters pertaining to the Air National Guard programs, policies, operations, management, and command. He also serves as the Indiana Joint Force Headquarters Air Component Commander and commands over 1,800 Air National Guard airmen. In addition, Hauser is an Assistant Professor at Indiana State University and serves as the Director of Unmanned Systems within the Aviation Technology Department in the College of Technology.

Hauser says, “The future of the Terre Haute International Airport is positive. I am excited to be a part of the team to continue to build on the Airport's successes and continue to work to realize its tremendous potential.”

Hauser is expected to begin his new position as Executive Director on January 1, 2015. Until that time Bill Foraker will continue to serve as the Interim Executive Director.
