News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – bookacoach, an Indianapolis based corporation that provides a turnkey mobile and web training management platform for sports academies, today announced the list of represented organizations attending the Safety Summit on Monday, November 17th, at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The BAC Safety Summit is bringing together over a dozen of the nation's top youth sports and safety organizations to discuss, learn and build better standards for background checks, safety policies, risk tolerance and safety management in youth sports — providing leaders a rare opportunity to learn directly from the challenges faced by peers in youth sports.

“Our team is excited to bring together youth sports and safety leaders for an open and direct dialogue around an increasingly important issue in this country,” said bookacoach Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Kevin MacCauley. “Everyone attending has the attitude that more focus, attention and support is needed in youth sports to keep athletes safe. We believe the summit provides the platform to put that mentality into action.”

Participating organizations and programs include: bookacoach, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, ProCamps, Protect Youth Sports, Indiana Soccer, USA Football, Heads Up Football, National Center for Safety Initiatives, US Lacrosse, National Junior Tennis & Learning of Indianapolis, United States Tennis Association – Midwest, USA Diving, USA Gymnastics, USA Track & Field, and the United States Olympic Committee.

Any organization, league, and/or program that would like to learn more or participate may contact bookacoach at support(at)bookacoach(dot)com.

On Monday, November 17th at 8:30AM at Banker's Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, attendees will cover four main session focused on key safety topics identified by the participants in a pre-interview process. Topics range from discussing contents of background checks, reviewing processes for handling reported offenses to transparency of safety thru education for coaches, parents and athletes.

Since its formation in 2011, bookacoach has grown to become the nation's largest online sports lesson marketplace of county level background checked coaches. Known as the BAC Safety Certification, all coaches must undergo the bookacoach background check, repeated annually. The process was developed with the guidance and support of local law enforcement and consists of a national, state and county level background check. Every coach must pass the safety certi¬fication process in order to manage his/her training on bookacoach.
