Student Venture Lab Open For Applications

The Northeast Indiana Innovation Center in Fort Wayne is taking applications for a program focusing on high school and college entrepreneurship. The Student Venture Lab involves early stage funding and office space opportunities, business services and coaching.
Over the course of the SVL’s three phases, the NIIC could invest more than $20,000 in business funding, office space and services into the young companies. In exchange for the services and participation in the program, the NIIC receives a small amount of equity in the startups.
Chief Executive Officer Karl LaPan says "our program is rapidly expanding and we are looking for the best of the best. SVL is recognized as one of the top student entrepreneurship programs in the country and we are seeking students that have the passion and perseverance to push their idea to reality in a new and developing entrepreneur ecosystem for students."
After each six-month term, the ventures will take part in a demonstration day event in front of investors, bankers and regional business and technology community leaders.
