FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Steel Dynamics, Inc. (NASDAQ/GS: STLD) and Manchester University announced today that they are partnering to provide a year-long leadership development program – Dynamic Development – specifically designed for SDI employees.
The highly specialized, non-degree program begins Sept. 24 at Manchester’s Fort Wayne campus.
“We have always believed that success is not driven by state-of-the-art technology alone. But, more importantly, it is linked to managing the technology and creating a culture in which to exploit it,” said SDI President and CEO Mark Millett. “Our employees are the backbone of our organization. They are the force that makes SDI’s culture unique. In partnering with Manchester University, through our Dynamic Development program, we are exposing our colleagues to a ‘learning journey’ which clearly links their development to our business goals; thus, continuing our philosophy that ‘the right people in the right place’ will be our greatest asset.”
Dynamic Development offers a curriculum tailored to SDI’s culture, leadership style and specific needs. The course topics include strategic thinking, leadership and communication, among seven areas identified by SDI after extensive research and analysis. The courses will be taught by Manchester faculty, SDI leaders, and experienced business professionals.

Between classroom sessions in the conference center at Manchester’s Fort Wayne campus, 10627 Diebold Road, participants will work on reading assignments and online modules focused on independent learning.
