State Casino Profit Declines

Monthly gaming revenue at Indiana casinos dropped in October. The Indiana Gaming Commission is reporting profit of $164.4 million, compared to $170.5 million during the same month a year earlier.
Six of the state’s 13 gaming facilities reported slight increases in adjusted gross revenue, including Belterra Casino Resort and Spa in Florence, which was up to $9.3 million from $8.9 million. Others marking rises are French Lick Resort and Casino, Indiana Grand Racing and Casino, Majestic Star Casino in Gary, Rising Star Casino Resort in Rising Sun and Hoosier Park Racing and Casino, which was up nearly $500,000 in October.
Big dips include Majestic Star II Casino in Gary and Tropicana Casino, which was off in October by around $400,000.
