South Shore CVA Calls Emergency Session

Last week, the organization announced the cancellation of the 2014 South Shore Air Show, which was scheduled for July 11. Organizers were expecting between 60,000 and 70,000 attendees.
The event was set to take place at Fair Oaks Farms for the first time, but organizers say heavy rains flooded parking and viewing areas, leading to the cancellation.

HAMMOND, Ind. – Per Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-5 (d), please be advised that the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority’s Board of Directors will hold an emergency executive session on Wednesday, July 2, at 9:00 a.m. The purpose of the meeting is pursuant to Indiana Code 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(2)(D).
The meeting will be hosted at the Indiana Welcome Center, located at 7770 Corinne Drive, Hammond, Ind. 46323.
