USF Details a New Pre-Law Program

The University of Saint Francis has introduced a new program. Director Thomas Schneider says the political science – pre-law program will teach students how governments operate and "also learn how law affects people’s lives outside the context of politics."
The program will begin this fall and classes will combine a political science core with electives from other law-related areas.
St. Thomas More Society of Fort Wayne President Chris Nancarrow says "the Society looks forward to a collaborative effort between program students and the local bar and bench in an effort to help provide not only an invaluable educational experience, but also an experiential opportunity that is grounded in both the law and ethics." He adds the program "will not only provide the best of attributes of an academic program, but also an education that holds to the life, example and teachings of St. Thomas More himself as the patron saint of lawyers, judges and elected officials."
