Senior Living Facility Coming to Elkhart, Adding Jobs

Senior Living Facility Coming to Elkhart, Adding Jobs

Hellenic Senior Living, an assisted living community for older adults, is slated to open next month in Elkhart. When fully operational, the $26.7 million development will provide 45 jobs.

The community aims to provide an apartment-home living experience with the availability of personal assistance, medication administration and a variety of convenience and support services, such as meals, housekeeping, laundry and on-site physical therapy.

Gardant Management Solutions will manage the community, and says certified nursing assistants, working under the direction of a licensed nurse, will be on-duty at all times. The company also says Hellenic will be certified through the Division of Aging and regulated by the Indiana State Department of Health.

"Our focus," says Rod Burkett, chief executive officer of Gardant Management Solutions, "is to provide Hellenic residents with the love, compassion and dignity they deserve and the help and assistance they need. Our emphasis is on helping each resident achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Two other Hellenic assisted living communities recently opened in Indianapolis and New Albany.
