A national organization that represents recreational vehicle manufacturers says wholesale shipments through the first quarter jumped more than 13 percent, compared to the same period last year. The performance was driven by what the RV Industry Association says was the "best March on comparable record." The association says March was the first time production in a month has exceeded 50,000 units.
Last month, more than 51,600 RVs were shipped, an 8.5 percent increase from the nearly 47,600 units that shipped in March of 2017. Year-to-date, shipments stand at 137,086.
