The Rural Routes to Main Street Cultural Trail now includes Putnam County along with current participants Morgan and Hendricks counties.
The trail is in its eighth year and can be followed through the rural areas using a 47-page guidebook. It takes travelers on a path through art galleries, studios, restaurants, confectioneries and other spots selling handmade goods. It launched as a partnership between Visit Hendricks County and the Hendricks County Arts Council and in 2013, expanded to neighboring Morgan County.
With the addition of Putnam County, nearly three dozen members in the three counties are participating Thursday-Saturday, year-round.
