Officials from Purdue University, the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center and the WestGate Authority will hold an event Monday to formalize a recently-announced partnership. The collaboration involves commercialization, startup development and educational considerations. During an interview earlier this month with Inside INdiana Business, Purdue Research Foundation Senior Vice President Greg Deason said collaboration will help move the economic development needle for southwest central Indiana.

The economic collaboration agreement also includes partners like the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and Radius Indiana. Purdue says Indiana University and the University of Southern Indiana will also have a role in the collaboration.

A ceremony is set for Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the WestGate Academy Training and Conference Center Odon.
