A public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon on a proposal to build a mixed recycling and trash facility in Indianapolis. The $45 million Advanced Recycling Center still requires approval from the Board of Public Works. If approved, Covanta Indianapolis Inc. says the operation would create around 60 jobs. The Indiana Recycling Coalition has said the mayor's plan would have a negative impact for “decades to come.”
