‘Pig Adventure’ to Mark Grand Opening
A new attraction at a major Indiana agritourism business is set for its grand opening Monday. Fair Oaks Farms' Pig Adventure uses interactive displays and exhibits to educate the destination's more than 450,000 annual visitors about pig farming. Chief Executive Officer Gary Corbett outlined the attraction and future plans during an appearance last year on Inside INdiana Business Television. Originally Posted May 28, 2013

Think of it as the pig equivalent of a Disney-like adventure – a fun, fascinating exploration into the world of pigs and pig farming. Visitors, both young and old, will be delighted and entertained by interactive displays and exhibits as they learn not just how pig farmers raise their pigs, but more importantly, why. This includes explanations of the latest technologies modern pig farms use, anaerobic digester to turn waste into energy to power the farm, provide heat and odorless topsoil.
The Pig Adventure, in collaboration with the already famous
Fair Oaks Farms Dairy Adventure, will form part of a larger agri-tourism destination in northwestern Indiana. Plans are in place to add Beef, Poultry and Aquaculture production facilities and education centers to the Fair Oaks campus grounds.
Pricing includes entry to dairy adventure, pig adventure and Mooville. Second day passes can be used anytime before December 31, 2013.
