Board of Directors. She is chief executive officer of Japan-based Tsuchiya Group North America, which includes Bloomington-based subsidiary TASUS Corp.
Hart succeeds Jim Schellinger, who is now president of the IEDC. She will serve the remainder of his four-year term, which expires in March of 2017.
The IEDC says Hart has more than 30 years of global industry management experience and is the first and youngest female president of a Japanese-owned manufacturing company in North America. She was named TASUS Corp. president in 1994, and has since established a headquarters in Bloomington and added operations in Texas, Alabama and Ontario.
Hart holds a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University.
