In a notice to the state, the medical device company says the move will affect nearly 130 workers in Avilla. The company, which was acquired late last year by global orthopedic contract manufacturer, Tecomet, says layoffs will begin in June, with other “waves” in September and December.
Symmetry is also closing a Massachusetts facility and consolidating the work from both into other locations.
