Nonstop to Charleston Debuts at IND

The newest nonstop flight from Indianapolis International Airport has left the gates. Allegiant Air’s seasonal service to Charleston, South Carolina, first announced in January, is connected to a $40 million Allegiant Travel Co. (Nasdaq: ALGT) air base that launched in February. The air base employs dozens and is home to two Airbus planes.
When the flight to Charleston International Airport was announced, Allegiant also added a nonstop to Sarasota–Bradenton International Airport. Carriers at IND now offer 51 nonstops, more than any other time in its history. Allegiant, which also flies out of Fort Wayne International Airport, South Bend International Airport and Evansville Regional Airport, has 14 nonstop destinations through the Indy airport.
