Gary-based ARC of Northwest Indiana Inc. has provided more details about the closing of nearly two dozen group care facilities. In a notice to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, the organization says more than 100 positions will be cut after losing a state-issued license. You can read the notice to the state by clicking here.

Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana previously reported the nearly 90 displaced residents are being referred to other facilities, including some to the parent organization's newly-opened Fort Wayne property.

The nonprofit provides care and services to persons with disabilities. The move is not expected to affect its other operations in the region.
