Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne has announced the three finalists for its 2020 New Venture Competition. The champion will receive up to $20,000 in start-up capital following a business plan presentation for their small business.

The awards will be virtually held February 11 with live presentations from competitors to a panel of online judges. Finalists will make their pitches and the community judges will cast their votes for the new champion during the event.

The finalists and their businesses include: 

• Hayley Grover, business administration student – Sugar Coated Sweet Shoppe
  
• Jeffrey M. Sonner, engineering graduate – Just-A-Little-Smoke BBQ
  
• Ronaldo Perez, visual communication graduate – Hoosier Box Artisan BBQ and Catering

The startups will receive mentoring from SCORE Northeast Indiana throughout the competition.
