INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Continental Broadcast Group is launching another new Spanish radio station. The newest offering, a family friendly Christian-based music format, is scheduled to debut in Indianapolis on Monday morning, January 27th… on 810AM – WSYW. Continental Broadcast Group operates two other Spanish language radio stations in Indianapolis, which are WEDJ-FM (Radio Latina) and WNTS-AM (Exitos). The new programming on WSYW will feature Indy’s first Christian Music format in Spanish, on the new radio station named: “Pescador Radio.”
Continental's flagship station 107.1FM – “Radio Latina” airs the nation's top syndicated Spanish morning show (Raul Brindis)…While the “Exitos” 1590AM features the market’s only live, local morning show broadcasted in Spanish. Pescador 810AM will present a new third listening option for central Indiana’s Hispanic population.
Station Management added: “The addition of Pescador Radio on WSYW allows us to expand our on-air content, to better serve a wider variety of the Spanish-speaking residents of central Indiana. We now have three very different radio formats, targeting three separate Hispanic audiences. Our listeners now have more options to choose from for their listening pleasure, and advertisers now have three distinct radio stations to help better target narrower demographics among Hispanic consumers. The new programming direction offers “Spanish Christian Hits” with an Adult-Contemporary style of delivery. The station delivers positive and entertaining content, with on-air talent that will keep listeners interacted with the station and with social media. Pescador will also create a platform for local churches and religious groups to be heard in Indianapolis.
