News Release
CARMEL, Ind. – Danny Boy Beer Works, located in Carmel's West Clay area at 12702 Meeting House Road, will host its grand opening in January 2015. Danny Boy Beer Works will feature up to 10 Danny Boy beers and 30 rotating guest beers.
Inspired by architecture associated with firehouses, several large garage doors surround the outside walls while a “TANK 13” sign marks the building's exterior.
Inside, an open design comes about its industrial feel naturally: Though most breweries hide brewing facilities in separate rooms or buildings than its brewpub, Danny Boy positions its entire brewery in the middle of the main floor. Only chain link fencing separates guest tables from fermenting tanks and the boil kettle. Family seating is available on a second floor overlooking the brewery. Fifteen TVs line the walls behind a black cement slab bar.
Owner Kevin “KP” Paul paired up with Master Brewer and Partner Prescott Sanders to begin brewing small 5-10 gallon batches of beer in 2010. In early 2014, Danny Boy contract brewed regional breweries to produce larger batches of its beers.
Danny Boy Beer Works broke ground in April 2014. Once equipment and permitting allowed, Danny Boy brewed its first batch of beer in its new Carmel location in November 2014.
Though Danny Boy Beer Works will not officially open until January, beer fans can find Danny Boy brews, including Danny Black IPA, Training Day Pale, Miss Ginger Witte Urban Wheat, and Mac Daddy Scottish Strong, in bars and restaurants located in central Indiana.
