The Muncie City Council has approved $7 million in funding for several improvement projects. The Star Press reports the work will include upgrades to a key downtown street, fixes for city hall and infrastructure work at an industrial park. The projects are:

-$2 million for redesigning and resurfacing Walnut Street in the city's downtown. The project also involves $1.5 million from the Muncie Sanitary District.

-$1.5 million for a new connector and infrastructure at the Airpark Industrial Park.

-$1 million for new sidewalks on the city's south side.

-$600,000 to replace City Hall's roof.
