Jeffersonville-based MedVenture Technologies has named a new chief executive officer. Mitch Moeller will succeed Kevin Bramer in January. Moeller currently serves as the medical device company's chief operating officer. November 22, 2013

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – Helix Medical, LLC, a global manufacturer for the medical device and healthcare industry and parent company to MedVenture Technologies, today announced that Mitch Moeller will succeed Kevin Bramer as President and CEO of MedVenture. Mr. Moeller currently serves as the company's Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Bramer has decided to step down from his day to day leadership role and will also vacate his post on the Helix Medical Management Board and be replaced by Mr. Moeller. This leadership change will take place as of January 1, 2014 and Mr. Bramer will continue working with both MedVenture and Helix Medical in a consulting role.

Mitch Moeller joined MedVenture as Chief Operating Officer in 2008; prior to MedVenture he held leadership positions at B. Braun, Avail, and other companies within healthcare manufacturing. He holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo.

MedVenture, established in 1998 and based in the Louisville, Kentucky metropolitan area, was purchased by Helix Medical in 2012 and currently employs 235 associates. MedVenture designs, develops, and manufactures minimally invasive surgical devices and catheter-based devices for medical device companies, including Fortune 500 and medical device start-ups. The company develops integrated solutions for the endovascular, interventional cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurovascular, urology, oncology, and gynecology markets, among others.
