NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. – Lisa Ford of Wabash has joined the Manchester University Board of Trustees. The five-year term began this spring.

The Wabash native is married to Steve Ford, president of Ford Meter Box Inc. He is a former trustee.

“Lisa’s deep roots in Wabash County bring a distinct perspective to the Board of Trustees,” says MU President Dave McFadden. “She also is an educator who has lived and worked abroad, and that depth of experience translates to a richer understanding of the student experience at Manchester.”

Ford is a 1992 graduate of Taylor University and completed her master’s in education at Ball State University.

Her father, Lewis Curless ’66, and grandfather, Robert Curless ’38, were athletes at Manchester. Her mother, Joy Hoover ’66 Curless, also graduated from Manchester.

Lisa Ford taught at American embassy schools in Kuwait and Damascus, Syria. Her interest in international education began in childhood, when her parents worked at the Ramallah Friends School in Palestine.

Lisa and Steve Ford have three sons, David, Grant and Rob.Source: Manchester University
