Indianapolis, IN (November 11, 2013) – MainGate, the premier event retail and e-commerce merchandise company in the country, is pleased to announce that Terry Angstadt will join the company on January 6, 2014, he will serve as the Chief Strategy and Sales Officer and hold a position on the company’s Executive Team.

One of Angstadt’s primary responsibilities at MainGate will be to create a long-term growth strategy for a company that has already seen tremendous success during the past 10 years. In addition, he will lead the company’s sales organization with a focus on increasing existing business and the development of new partner opportunities. Angstadt will also continue MainGate’s ongoing commitment in employee development and incentive programs.

Angstadt’s professional career is impressive and a perfect fit for MainGate. For the past 11 years Angstadt has served tenures at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as Vice President of Marketing and at INDYCAR as President of its commercial division. While with INDYCAR, and under his direct supervision, the series secured or expanded on sponsorship deals with top-tier corporations including IZOD, Firestone, Honda and Apex Brasil, and signed new races at Barber Motorsports Park, Baltimore, Toronto and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Under his leadership INDYCAR also saw growth in many key areas, including television viewership, publicity, and an increase in the overall size of the worldwide fan base. Most recently, he has been the President of Green Savoree Racing Promotions. Angstadt has also served as the Executive Vice President and General Manager at CYRK, Inc. and as President and CEO of FILA Sports, Inc.


Current MainGate merchandise partners include six NFL teams (Indianapolis Colts, Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams), Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Circuit of the Americas, United States Bowling Congress, Big Ten Football and Basketball Championships, USGA (U.S. Open), the Kentucky Derby, Susan G. Komen, American Heart Association, and NHRA, among others.
