INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE:LLY) will present a record-breaking gift of $12.7 million to the United Way. As the largest United Way contribution in the company's history, the donation represents the giving of Lilly and Elanco employees in the United States and Puerto Rico, retirees, and a matching gift from the Lilly Foundation. The funds will support the United Way of Central Indiana and other United Ways nationwide and in Puerto Rico.
WHO: Lilly Chairman, President, and CEO John C. Lechleiter, Ph.D., will present the check to local United Way officials. Lechleiter also will recognize volunteers for their service and generosity.
