News Release

The “Singing Hoosiers” along with Indiana University Administrators will travel to Lebanon, Indiana Thursday November 14, 2013 for the dedication of the Herman B Wells Community Center. The new convention center space is part of the new Lebanon High School and is a unique first of its kind joint project funded by The City of Lebanon and Lebanon Community School Corporation.

“We've been anxiously awaiting this dedication since the designs were on the table,” says Lebanon Mayor “Huck” Lewis. “Herman B. Wells was a great leader and we couldn’t think of a more fitting person to name this beautiful center after,” said Lewis.

The Herman B Wells chapter of the Boone County Indiana University Alumni Association is hosting the event which is open to the public. “This will be a great public venue for virtually everything from important education meetings to weddings to town hall political events:, says Superintendent, Dr. Robert Taylor. Taylor, who is an Indiana University graduate, has received some of the Wells memorabilia and pictures which will be placed in the new center.
