The president of the Capital Improvement Board in Indianapolis is stepping down. Ann Lathrop has served in the role since 2008. Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard says Lathrop's leadership helped the city “achieve new heights” as a tourist and convention destination.

Statement from Mayor Ballard regarding Ann Lathrop stepping down as President of the Capital Improvement Board:

“Ann Lathrop's leadership has been critical to the Capital Improvement Board's unparalleled success in helping Indianapolis achieve new heights as both a destination city for the world's largest conventions and as a place where our country's biggest events can call home. Ann's tenure was marked by triumphs such as Super Bowl XLVI, and also by sound financial leadership, a sustained emphasis on transparency, and continued support for our tourism and travel industry. Ann has served the people of Indianapolis with honor and distinction.”
