Lafayette, Ind. — More than 100 industries, businesses, healthcare providers, educational institutions and organizations will fill 120 booths for the Greater Lafayette Commerce 2014 Business Expo, a business-to-business networking event that runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday, April 3, at Four Points by Sheraton, 1600 Cumberland Ave. Admission is free.

“Our theme this year is 'Build, Connect, Inform,' and that reflects the value of participating in and attending the Business Expo,” said Kathryn Byrd, assistant program manager. “In one place and for a single day, business people can meet and learn about a host of other businesses and organizations. It’s indeed time well-spent.”

Free parking for visitors will be available in the northwest corner of the nearby West Lafayette Walmart parking lot, with guest shuttle service provided from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. by Express Air Coach to and from the Expo entrance.

From noon to 1 p.m., a lunch-and-learn session titled “Stand by . . . You're on!” will feature Sue Scott, Tippecanoe School Corp. communications coordinator and former broadcast journalist, and Purdue video engineer Tom Harmeson, speaking on how to get media coverage. Cost is $10 for Greater Lafayette Commerce members; $15 for guests, with reservations requested by calling 765/742-4044 or signing up at www.greaterlafayettecommerce.com.
