Kroger Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

The bureau reports the total cost of the 16 items was $53.32

The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) is celebrating the grand re-opening of its Richmond store. The company says the $5 million dollar project created about 80 jobs.

Kroger says it changed the décor and improved the overall feeling of the store. The store features a new full service bakery, updated produce department, renovated deli and new shopping carts with covered cart corrals.

“The grocery, pharmacy and fuel markets are very competitive in Indiana, but also very important for The Kroger Co. Our solid success in the marketplace allows us to make significant economic and work force investments in our Indiana stores. Our investment in Richmond is a strong vote of confidence and will allow us to continue providing quality products, competitive prices and outstanding customer service, while being a supportive community partner,” Kroger Central Division President Jeff Burt said.

The grand re-opening was held last Thursday. The store is located at 3701 East National Road.
