Hoosier native and NBC's “The Voice” winner Josh Kaufman will headline the 109th Indiana Society of Chicago Foundation's annual event in December. The foundation will honor organizations including the Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the Indiana Economic Development Corp.

Indianapolis, Ind. — The Indiana Society of Chicago Foundation today announced the details of its annual event.

The 109th black-tie dinner will be held on December 6, 2014, at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Chicago, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Hoosier Josh Kaufman, 2014 winner of NBC's The Voice, will headline the program, with appearances by Governor Mike Pence and First Lady Karen Pence, Senator Joe Donnelly, Chicago TV personalities Phil Ponce and Dan Ponce, among others.

Each year, the organization honors exceptional organizations and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the state and nation. This year's honorees are the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis, and Father Theodore Hesburgh as Hoosier of the Year (in absentia).

Proceeds from the event go to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
