Japan’s ‘Mr. Diplomacy’ to Headline Gala
A former Japanese Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs will keynote the annual Japan-America Society of Indiana Gala next month in Indianapolis. Mitoji Yabunaka has been dubbed Japan's “Mr. Diplomacy” for his role in leading numerous negotiations on behalf of the Asian nation, including several trade deals. “Mitoji Yabunaka is a long-time friend of the Midwest, and we are honored to welcome him back in his first visit to Indiana since serving as Consul-General of Japan in Chicago,” said Japan-America Society of Indiana President and Tsuchiya Group North America President Melanie Hart.
The Japan-America Society of Indiana's Annual Gala brings together corporate and community leaders and individuals from throughout the Midwest and this year will also include remarks from the Consul-General of Japan in Chicago Toshiyuki Iwado and Indiana Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann.
The event will be June 4 in Indianapolis.
