Jackrabbits Attendance Hops Higher

The Kokomo Jackrabbits say attendance in 2016 increased by eight percent. The Prospect League member ranks in the top 25 in the nation for attendance among summer-collegiate teams.
The Jackrabbits are reporting a total of 48,960 fans over 30 games at Kokomo Municipal Stadium. That is an average of 1,632 fans per game. That ranks Kokomo 23rd among summer-collegiate teams, up from 26th last year.
Kokomo Mayor Greg Goodnight says the increase "proves that last season’s attendance numbers were not a fluke." He says the team and Municipal Stadium are "key components of economic growth in Kokomo."
Municipal Stadium was named Best Summer Collegiate Ballpark in the Nation in June by Ballpark Digest, marking the second time it has earned the honor.
