IWiT Brings Some of World’s Best Golfers

The 2018 Indy Women in Tech LPGA Championship gets underway Thursday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s Brickyard Crossing Golf Course. The event, which features 144 golfers from throughout the world, debuted last year and will feature $2 million in prize money. Lexi Thompson won the 2017 tournament and earned $300,000.
The four-day event is a partnership with the Indy Women in Tech Foundation, which aims to boost awareness and funding for initiatives focused on women in technology fields. Net proceeds from the tournament support the foundation.
Officials say the IWiT offers the city, the industry and the IMS to be showcased before a worldwide audience. The event, which runs through Sunday, will include most of the top 10 players competing for the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. You can connect to more about the IWiT by clicking here.
