Irish Returning to Championship Game

For the second consecutive season, the University of Notre Dame's women's basketball team is heading to the NCAA championship game. The Fighting Irish will take on the University of Connecticut Tuesday in Florida. Notre Dame defeated the University of South Carolina 66-65 Sunday night in the national semifinal.

The championship game will be a rematch of last year's final, which Connecticut won 79-68.

The Irish are 36-2 this season.
