Innovation Park at Notre Dame officials are touting the achievements of 2016. More than 30 companies worked with the entrepreneurial-focused property in South Bend to connect with park and university resources.
One of the most prominent developments last year was the start of construction on Quinn Hall, which kicked off in October. The facility was made possible through a $5 million gift and plans call for space for 30 startups.
Innovation Park is a big part of the University of Notre Dame’s continuing focus on commercialization. The IDEA Center, also part of that effort, was created by the university last year and is designed to be a catalyst for new research. In December, Notre Dame named Bryan Ritchie vice president of innovation, a new position.
Innovation Park is home to more than 30 companies, which last year employed more than 60 ND students as interns.
