Indy Company Acquires Another

Braden was founded in 1989.

Two Indianapolis-based office technology service and consulting companies have merged. Braden Business Systems Inc. has acquired DAST Consulting LLC. Braden says the merger creates one of the largest office technology providers in the Midwest.

The company has more than 60 employees and will bring on all 13 DAST Consulting workers.

President Dave Braden calls DAST Consulting "an amazing fit" and says the acquisition will create a business unit called Braden IT Services, or "BITS." He says the deal compliments Braden’s strengths in office equipment and document automation software solutions with DAST’s focus on IT consulting, computer networking and monitoring, cloud, disaster recovery and business continuity, network security and firewall services.

Braden Director of Business Development and Acquisitions Erik Braden says "this acquisition is a natural extension of our services that will add extra value for our customers. Braden is focused on growth on all fronts, including through acquisition with this being our second deal in under two years. We are focused on maximizing our customers’ experience and in doing so, building tremendous value for our customers, employees and community. We are incredibly excited to serve in an even greater capacity for decades to come."

Last year, Braden acquired office equipment dealer, Automated Business Solutions.
