Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard joins representatives from Lowe's (NYSE: LOW) this morning to mark the opening of the company's new customer support center. The home improvement retail giant plans to create around 1,000 jobs at the INTECH Park facility.

Indianapolis, Ind. — Today, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Lieutenant Governor Sue Ellspermann and Congresswoman Susan Brooks will join representatives from Lowe's Corporation for a ceremony celebrating the opening of its new Indianapolis customer support center.

In 2014, Indianapolis won the bid for the Lowe's call center, bringing with it 1,000 new jobs.
