INDOT Looking For Fall Help

The funding includes $435 million in Local Option Income Tax money as well as an additional $70 million for local government rainy day funds.

The Indiana Department of Transportation is hiring more than 50 full-time and seasonal workers in Indianapolis and east central Indiana. INDOT will host a career fair at its Indianapolis subdistrict facility October 17.

The facility is located at 7105 Brookville Road. The hiring event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. INDOT says interviews will be conducted during the career fair. If you are unable to attend the event, interviews will be conducted October 7 and October 14 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the same location.

Positions include highway road maintenance workers, fleet mechanics and electrical technicians. INDOT says the seasonal employees will help with snow plowing and winter road maintenance operations.

Job seekers are encouraged to bring their resume, a copy of their high school diploma, and their driver’s license or commercial driver’s license and current medical examiner’s certificate.
