Indianapolis to Host ‘Are You Job Ready?’ Event
The Indianapolis Department of Minority and Women Business Development will host an “Are You Job Ready?” work force event on Thursday. More than 30 organizations will provide mock interviews and offer tips on resume building.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indianapolis Department of Minority and Women Business Development will host the first phase of its new workforce initiative titled “Are You Job Ready?” The initiative is aimed at preparing job seekers for successful interviews, advice on how to find and retain a job and/or pursue a successful career. More than 30 organizations will be on site to provide tips on resume building, training, mock interviews, housing, public transportation, financial planning, GED, re-entry, free computers, internet access, interview attire, veteran support and more.

The second phase of the initiative will involve matching job seekers who complete phase one with prospective employers. Information on phase two will be released at a later date.
