Indiana Workplaces Honored by Inc.

SmartBox LLC in New Albany is on the 2017 Best Workplaces list from Inc.

The founder of one of five Indiana companies included on a national publication’s Best Workplaces list says the honor reflects an employee-first approach. New Albany-based SmartBox Web Marketing Chief Executive Officer Colin Receveur says being recognized by Inc. helps boost the dentist-focused marketer’s profile in the industry and Greater Louisville. He adds prospective employees often make mention of previous best workplace awards. In addition to SmartBox, the list includes Indianapolis-based companies Fizziology, Morales Group and PolicyStat, as well as Hanapin Marketing in Bloomington.

Receveur tells Inside INdiana Business "the culture that we’ve built is at the core" of standing out from the rest. He says SmartBox offers the typical fun activities like other companies with a great workplace reputation. SmartBox employees also have benefits such as unlimited vacation, flex time and standardized severance packages, which includes the opportunity for employees to accept a contract buyout equal to one-month’s salary after 45 days on the job.

The five Hoosier companies are among 233 on this year’s list. More than 1,600 com­panies applied and winners were selected based on surveys of some 169,000 employees.
