Fourteen Indiana students are competing in the 2015 Scripps National Spelling Bee this week. They are among nearly 300 students taking part in the contest in Maryland. The spelling bee is being held at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. The semifinals and championship finals are scheduled for Thursday, May 28.

– Lora A. Kuhaneck, Warsaw

– Munthira Raju, Yorktown

– Matthew Phillip Ross, Orleans

– Olivia Hajicek, Goshen

– Katie Collins, Terre Haute

– Julia Oostema, Highland
