Hoosier manufacturers fare well in an annual ranking of the highest-performing public manufacturers in the country. Elkhart-based companies swept the top three spots on the 2017 Industry Week 50 Best U.S. Manufacturers list. Lafayette-based Wabash National Corp. (NYSE: WNC) was the only other Indiana company on the list, placing 29th.

The publication ranks manufacturers based on multiple factors, including revenue growth and total revenue over the last year. Patrick Industries Inc (Nasdaq: PATK), which has revenues topping $1.2 billion, jumped 32.8 percent year-over-year. Revenue at Drew Industries Inc., now called LCI Industries Inc. (NYSE: LCII), grew by almost 20 percent to $1.7 billion and revenue at Thor Industries Inc. (NYSE: THO) increased to nearly $4.6 billion — a 14.4 percent increase, according to Industry Week.
