Indiana Entrepreneur Gets More National Attention
Forbes has named an Indiana University graduate an “Up and Comer” in the world of business. Derek Pacqu? is the founder of CoatChex, a ticketless coat check system. During an appearance on Inside INdiana Business Television, he discussed the concept and his decision to turn down a $200,000 offer from Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban on the ABC television show “Shark Tank.” Cuban offered Pacqu? $200,000 for one-third ownership in the company on an episode of the ABC show Shark Tank. Pacqu? says a “timing issue” led him to reject the offer.
Late last year, CoatChex expanded into New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and Washington D.C.
