Indiana Employers Among ‘Best Companies to Work For’

Two companies with large presences in central Indiana are on a national list of 100 Best Companies to Work For. Fortune's annual ranking considers factors including employee attitude, perception of management credibility and benefit programs. California-based salesforce.com inc. (NYSE: CRM), which is the parent of ExactTarget in Indianapolis, placed 8th overall.

Indianapolis-based Roche Diagnostics was 77th.

The publication based the rankings off of surveys sent to a random sampling of each company's employees. Part of the results are based on what Fortune calls the Culture Audit. It focuses on compensation, hiring, training and communications practices.
