Fort Wayne-based Indiana Michigan Power has set the closing date for a Dearborn County power plant. In a notice to the state, the utility says the remaining 92 workers' last day at the Tanners Creek facility in Lawrenceburg is expected to be around May 31. Editor's Note: A previous version mistakenly identified the final day as “March 31.”

The company has been mulling its closure since 2011.

In 2013, parent company American Electric Power Co. Inc. (NYSE: AEP) said resource needs and environmental compliance costs were factors in the decision.
