An unprecedented effort to help those impacted by Hurricane Harvey involving several central Indiana media outlets and organizations begins today. Hoosiers Helping Houston will be raising money and collecting needed items at four drop-off sites through Saturday.

The American Red Cross says the items it needs most at the moment are bottled water, diapers, baby wipes, juice in non-glass containers and snacks with an expiration date after September 30.

Hoosiers Helping Houston will accept donations at four drop-off sites from Thursday, September 7 through Saturday, September 9 from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The drop-off sites are:

Kroger Marketplace: 5350 E Thompson Rd | Indianapolis, IN 46237
