Hoosier Restaurateur Makes InStyle’s ‘Badass 50’ List

Subscribe NowA Hoosier restaurateur is being recognized in InStyle Magazine’s recently released third edition "Badass Women" issue. The issue includes a bi-annual "Badass 50" feature which honors women who have made an impact on science, social justice, law, entertainment, politics and other industries.
Hoover was featured on the list 39th out of 50, three spots behind Rihanna and two behind gymnast Katelyn Ohashi.
Hoover, a former sex-crimes prosecutor, to the magazine she left law to spearhead the farm-to-table movement. The publication said by opening Café Patachou, Hoover was able to cultivate new attitudes about food and sustainability.
“So many restaurants stop at what the food looks and tastes like. That’s not more important than how you treat your customers, staff, community, and the planet,” Hoover told the publication.
